Over 200 volunteers participated in Girls Day 2006 At the 25th Annual Celebration of Girls Day 2006, more than 200 girls from disadvantaged or single-parent households from across our valley were joined by approximately 400 volunteers for fun and friendship at the Lied Memorial Boys & Girls Club.
Girls Day matches girls between the ages of 7 and 12 with women from the community for an afternoon of fun, games, food and prizes. NV Energy is proud of our 25 employees who began a friendship with a young girl who might need a relationship with another adult to encourage and develop their sense of competence, usefulness and belonging.
Girls Day a fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas, a nonprofit organization whose mission it to provide opportunities for young people to learn the skills necessary for happy, healthy and successful lives and become responsible members of society.
